Very short yet enjoyable vn. There's a very distinct and palpable atmosphere the game conveys through the grainy photographs and monochrome color scheme, only broken up by the Nymph's eyes and accessories. It speaks clearly to how the protagonist views their own life, their disassociation from it, and how (ironically) grounding the Nymph's presence is.

Though I find that the short length is some what of a detriment to the impact of the events of the last five or so minutes. There's a lot of skipping around through the story to where you aren't really able to fully feel the sort of relationship between the protagonist and the Nymph. I suppose on some level that could speak to the sort of tragedy of the situation, where such a close relationship could only be fleeting in such a way. But that leaves me thinking more about what I could've felt like had it lasted even a half hour longer than the actual writing in the story itself.

Regardless, I'm very excited to see what's next as I was certainly hooked for the time I could read this.

Where to start, where to start...

The style! It's obvious that there was a really clear visual look you were going for and I think it comes across really well. I liked the old school NVL text formatting, and you even got the 4:3 aspect ratio and everything! Definitely cool to see for a change, compared to most modern VNs. I really loved the visuals as a whole, the backgrounds to the character art to the UI, even just the way the text was positioned, it all felt very cohesive and it's clear a lot of thought was put into it.

I feel similarly about the music and sound in general - the music is great and the sounds effects really help sell the sense of space too. The SFX and ambient noise sort of ground the scenes in a way.

Overall I liked the writing but there were definitely some odd choices here and there. Namely the occasional lack of punctuation/capitalization, and also the use of "lol" just felt a little out of place though that's more of a pet peeve than anything. Small things like that just kept making me question how seriously I should be taking the story. Of course this could also be the point and trust me, I'm really good at missing the point! The more I think about it, the sort of contrast this game has makes me think of it a bit like a less over the top goth version of FL:CL.

There's also a line towards the end that starts with < and closes with ] but it doesn't seem intentional with the way the girl responds? It feels like a missed opportunity not to have used this intentionally to show the characters' closeness but ah well.

Overall I still really liked it! It was very cute and I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Is it wrong to be infatuated with something fallen beyond the old dawn?

Said it before and saying it again. I love this so much. Presentation is great and the sound design is incredible. Love how reverby everything sounds and how well the SFX mesh with the BGM creating a fantastic and cohesive soundscape

The character art paired with those bnw backgrounds go together extremely well, and last but not least loved the writing on this. Loved how enigmatic and dreamy it is feels the way through.

Ethereal game. Love it and excited to see more in the future!

Had the chance to play this early and full release and I really love how it feels like an NSCripter game and Tsukihime <3

Very Shiki and Arcueid vibes!! The hook is so strong and I love the mystique it adds to the main female interest!

Very atmospheric. Never trust a stranger that offers you a bizarre cassette tape: They might bring you to places you wouldn't expect.
